Dominique Aurore Marie Thiebaut was a meta-human or mutant, who started being scouted by the company Cyberdata when she manifested her powers of manifesting electromagnetic energy as a child in school. Unbeknownst to her, the company orchestrated the deaths of Dominique's family members. Following the deaths of her father and brother, she went to the Middle East to study medicine and she also became a freedom fighter. While there, she blacked out during a mission and Cyberdata performed cybernetic surgery on her (to enhance her powers and control her) without her knowledge or consent. From that point on she was assigned to become a Special Hazardous Operations Cyborg (SHOC) and she was known as Cyblade. Working with Cyberdata, Cyblade met Heatwave and Stryker, and found out the dirty deeds of the organization, so she defected and joined Cyber Force, which she was instrumental in building, and she lead at times until it was disbanded.
