Mordecai Pendragon, an alcoholic stage magician, is Vampirella's closest and most trusted ally. Pendragon worked in a carnival controlled by worshippers of the Gods of Chaos until Vampirella came upon the carnival and destroyed the power of the God of Chaos, freeing Pendragon. To show his gratitude, Pendragon has since been traveling with Vampirella, aiding her in her quest to rid the world of the Servants of Chaos. He has recently found that he can perform some real spells rather than only parlor tricks, but generally he presents as a stage magician still, and Vampirella, his assistant.
