Some time in the 2940s, Batman XIX was attending a public ceremony, when the Joker XIX set off a bomb. Batman was killed, but the blast also killed several spectators, including Batman's wife and relatives. Luckily, his infant son, Bron Wayn E7705, had not been taken to the ceremony. When Bron grew up, there was no one to tell him of his heritage. He eventually returned to Wayn Manor on the asteroid Baltorr, and stumbled on the secret entrance to the Batcave. He investigated, learned of his parents murder, and vowed revenge. He became determined to find their killer through his son, Joker XX. Bron trained for his war against crime, and mastered all the gadgets in the utility belt. Since the Joker XX was the enemy of the current Superman, Batman tracked down Superman and the two heroes agreed to team up to capture him.
