A synthezoid created by Professor Phineas Horton, the Human Torch burst into flame when exposed to oxygen. He learned to control the condition, enabling him to fly and hurl fireballs. In the 1940s and 1950s, the Human Torch had a sidekick named Toro the Flaming Kid.
