Kurti is the spiritual manifestation of Alana and Marko's unborn second child, who appears via a powerful projection spell Alana inadvertently uses when she is pregnant to materialize her hopes for the future. She does not know how to control this power. When she loses consciousness, the ghost of Kurti fades away, and when she has the stillborn baby removed from her belly, the ghost of Kurti is gone forever.
