Anne Bonny

As a young woman, Anne Bonny, who was from the Carribean in 1718, joined up with a pirate known as Calico Jack Rackham, despite the fact that women were not allowed to become pirates. She was a tough woman, always seeking the strongest man in a conflict and defeating him. Bonny and Rackham stole a treasure map from the famed pirate Blackbeard and took off in their ship, the Jolly Roger, after the treasure. When they found the treasure it turned out to be the Witchblade. Blackbeard had pursued the thieving pirates, and Anne used the Witchblade to save her crew from him. Blackbeard attacked again when they were back on the water. Anne fought him with her pistol in one hand and the Witchblade on the other. In 1720, Anne and her crew were captured and sentenced to death, but Anne said she was pregnant so she was sent to prison. She escaped from prison, and it is said she fled to the Carolinas.
