Married Marie Granier in 1963, and with her he had daughter Mishi Kato (the third Kato). Grandfather of Kono Kato (the fourth Kato) and Miriko Kato. The miniseries Kato of the Green Hornet reveals that Oshura Oshi was Chinese and introduces Ho, Hayashi’s uncle and a master of kung fu, further establishing the Shaolin heritage that shaped Hayashi’s skills and identity.
