Poltergeist is a mutant with psychokinetic powers to cause improbable things to happen which he can't control well. His powers are linked to his thoughts, so he affects whatever is foremost in his mind. His emotional state also has an effect on the way his powers manifest, and is a weakness, as he is less able to control his powers when under emotional stress. Various manifestations have so far included fires and explosions. He has been put under the care of Tigra, Spider-Woman, Dazzler, and Beast at various times.
