In the Zenescope Entertainment comics universe, specifically in the tale of Little Red Riding Hood, The Big Bad Wolf is the villain. He is secretly a man named Samuel Wilcox who is enamored with Red, but he is also a werewolf. When Red travels through the forest to visit her grandmother, he cannot overcome his urges and attacks her. The woodsman manages to save Red by laying his axe to rest in the wolf's back, causing him to transform and reveal himself as Samuel Wilcox.
