Katherine "Kathy" Webb Kane is the widow of Nathan Kane. She is the step-aunt of Bruce Wayne (Batman), Bette Kane (Flamebird / Hawkfire), Kate Kane (the second Batwoman), and Beth Kane (Alice). Kathy spent some time as the original Batwoman. She later faked her own death. In the New 52 reboot, Katarina "Luka" Netz and her sister Elisabeth were creations of Otto Netz (Doctor Dedalus). Luka occasionally used the alias Kathy Kane, and in that role she became the original Batwoman. She later faked the death of her Kathy Kane persona. Luka was the head of the organization called Spyral, calling herself The Headmistress and Agent Zero. She was eventually killed by Otto Netz.
