Laethwen is the princess of a tribe of six-inch high aliens, the Katarthans, who have been living secretly in the Brazilian Amazon Rainforest after crash landing there long ago. Her father was King Caellich. She becomes romantically involved with Ray Palmer, aka the Atom.
