Beverly Lewis testified against her employer, Ross Malverk, and as a result was placed in a witness protection program. Beverly was given a new identity, "Fiona Webb", and she was relocated to Central City. Fiona and Barry Allen (The Flash) met and eventually became enaged. Their wedding ceremony was interrupted by The Reverse-Flash, who planned to kill Fiona just as he had killed Barry's wife, Iris. Just as The Reverse-Flash was about to reach Fiona, Barry snapped his neck attempting to save her. Fiona suffered a nervous breakdown and was hospitalized.
