Lala is one of the three main characters of the To Love-Ru series. She is the oldest daughter of Gid Deviluke, Emperor of the Galaxy. Like other Devilukans, she has a long devil-like tail. Running away from home to avoid her many unwelcome suitors, her teleportation device causes her to wind up naked in the bath of high school student Yuuki Rito. She soon falls in love with him, and declares he is her fiancé. To further this, she moves in to Rito's house and enrolls as a student in his high school. This causes many of her suitors to target Rito. Rito has been in love with Sairenji Haruna for a few years; rather than being jealous Lala and Haruna become best friends. Lala is a brilliant inventor, but many of her inventions cause problems in this humorous series.
