Charlie Chaplin

Sir Charles Spencer Chaplin KBE (April 16, 1889 – December 25, 1977) was an English comic actor, filmmaker, and composer who rose to fame in the era of silent film. Chaplin had his own comic strip, Charlie Chaplin's Comic Capers, in syndication by the Keeley Syndicate from March 29, 1915, until September 16, 1917. Chaplin was inducted into the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1972, and received three Academy Awards: Honorary Awards in 1929, 1972 and Best Score award in 1973 for Limelight (shared with Ray Rasch and Larry Russell).
