Yrra Cynril, a Xanshian who was the first of her kind educated off-world, believed her world was destroyed due to the error of a Green Lantern. She finished her training and, as Fatality, went out with the goal of destroying all Green Lanterns. During the Sinestro Corps War, Yrra was taken by the Zamarons and put into a crystal with the hope of replacing the anger in her heart with love. This process was successful and Fatality emerged from the crystal a Star Sapphire.
