Eva is a minor character in the graphic novel trilogy Hound by Paul J. Bolger and Barry Devlin. Eva leads a band of warriors called the Kelpies, who fight wearing nothing but seaweeds. They pose a threat to anyone trying to pass the salt marshes of Alba, including Cú Cullan when he is exiled to the Isle of Skye. She later leads an attack on Skye's school in an attempt to take over after Skye bestows the Gae Bolga on Cú Cullan, whereupon she reveals herself to be the estranged daughter of Skye. After the mother and daughter reconcile with the interruption of Cú Cullan, she and Cú Cullan become lovers for months before he leaves her pregnant with a boy to return to Erin. Near the end of the story, she sends her young son in arms away to Erin in an attempt to get revenge on Cú Cullan for leaving her with the result that Cú Cullan kills the boy with the Gae Bolga.
