A young boy was able to escape his homeworld, Viro, before it was destroyed by a star which collided with it. When he crashed to Earth, bystanders believed that he was an ordinary child whose parents were killed by an exploding meteor. He was brought to an orphanage, but he didn't remain there long. He used his superhuman abilities to help fight the Nazis, spies, and crime as Wonder Boy.
