Moira Brandon was an ageing movie star who sold her estate to the Avengers, which became the new West Coast Avengers headquarters. Hawkeye and Mockingbird were attacked by the villain Crossfire when looking over the estate, and Moira saved them by using Crossfire's crossbow against him. Moira collapsed soon after, and Hawkeye made her an honorary Avenger just before she died.
