A century in the future, Dr. Michael Grant developed an amazing mutagenic chemical he called Cortexin, which had the effect of physically and mentally evolving animals. It was at this time that the world suffered a global catastrophe referred to as The Great Disaster, which completely devastated the Earth. The Cortexin leaked into the world's water supply, causing animals to evolve and humans to devolve across the globe. Prince Tuftan is the son of Great Caesar, leader of the Tiger-Men.
