Geri is sinister wolf (canis dirus, a species of wolf that lived about ten millennia ago) from Asgard. In the company of Freki, he loyally serves Odin Borson, whom he accompanies into battle and for whom he is the messenger. Geri is inspired by the Geri wolf of Scandinavian mythology.
