- Also known as
DC super-villain created by Otto Binder and George Papp. Kryptonian antagonist of Superman. Jax-Ur was a Kryptonian scientist who was sentenced to an eternity in the Phantom Zone for breaking the law forbidding anyone from experimenting with an untested explosive. His rocket had missed its target and destroyed Wegthor, an inhabited moon of Krypton, killing 500 colonists. He was the first prisoner on Krypton to be projected into the Phantom Zone.
