Donna Bonita

Jon Valor's wife

  • Also known as Donna Bonita / Bonnie

In 1557 or 1558 AD, Jon Valor rescued a woman named Bonnie in a waterfront tavern, in the port of Buena Dista. Appearing as an orphaned street begger, she captured the heart of her hero. In reality, she was Donna Bonita, ward of King Philip II of Spain, who had run away from Don Carlos, the King's son, on their wedding day. When Don Carlo learned of her love for Jon Valor, he had Jon captured and intended on having him hanged. Donna Bonita brought Father Fernando with her to Jon's prison cell, and Donna and Jon were married. Donna then pled with King Philip to pardon Jon and bestow upon him a title. King Philip agreed, much to the anger of Don Carlo. Wife of Jon Valor (the Black Pirate). Mother of Justin Valor.
