Steve Hockensmith

Steve began working in publishing as an intern at People magazine and then became an entertainment journalist. He wrote for The Hollywood Reporter, The Chicago Tribune, Newsday and other magazines and newspapers. His first comic script appears to have been published in [The Phantom: Generations #6 (2009)](app://issue/690085). He is perhaps best known as the author of the *Holmes on the Range* series of novels. The first of these Sherlockian mystery / Western novels was a finalist for Edgar, Anthony, Shamus and Dilys Awards in 2007.
