Arthur Quiller-Couch, who often was published under the pen name Q, was a British writer, literary critic and academic. He published novels, short stories and poetry, and edited *The Oxford Book of English Verse*. He served as King Edward VII Professor of English Literature at the University of Cambridge and was knighted for his contributions to literature.
