Hugh Wiley was a writer who contributed to publications including *Collier's*, *The New Yorker* and *The Saturday Evening Post*. He created the Chinese-American detective Mr. Wong who appeared in a series of short stories in *Collier's* before being adapted into a series of films starring Boris Karloff.
