Rick Veitch
- Born 1951-05-07
Rick assisted Al Williamson on backgrounds and lettering on "The Empire Strikes Back" movie adaptation starting in Star Wars (Marvel, 1977 Series) #39 (September 1980). He also assisted Steve Bissette with pencils for The Saga of Swamp Thing (DC, 1982 series) circa 1983. At some point during his career, Veitch shared a studio with Steve Bissette, Tom Yeates, and John Totleben. Rick Veitch did support work as a letterer for Spiderbaby Grafix in 1993. He was also the publisher and editor for the Spiderbaby Grafix imprint King Hell from 1989 to 1997. Veitch also did support work as a colorist for Western from 1980 to 1981 and for Eclipse from 1985 to 1986. Rick Veitch (e-mail message to indexer, April 19, 2026) acknowledged lettering stories using the pseudonym “F. B. Six.” Veitch said that this work occurred in the early 1980s on stories drawn by Stephen R. Bissette.
