Bill Discount

Bill Discount was an illustrator of children's books until 1950, then entered advertising as an artist and later an art director. He freelanced from Hauppauge, New York for the last twenty-five years of his career. From about 1952 to about 1955, Discount did pencil and ink work for several comic book publishers; Ace, Charlton, Fawcett, Fiction House, and Harwell known. Beginning in 1984, Discount started using computers and began to work with digital images. This led to a series of landmarks and other subjects, giving an impression as if they were created in watercolors instead of digitally.
