Flix

Flix is a German comic artist, author and cartoonist. His first professional comic was [Who the fuck is Faust? #[nn] (1998)](app://issue/1547004), followed by [Radio Ohrgasmus #[nn] (2002)](app://issue/1536941). After graduating, he published his diploma thesis as [Held #[nn] (2003)](app://issue/929606), which was translated into several languages.The story tells Flix’s entire life from birth to death, that is, past, present and future. Later partly autobiographical comics were [Sag was #[nn] (2004)](app://issue/930763) and [Mädchen #[nn] (2006)](app://issue/929810). Since 2002, Flix has been drawing the cartoon series Verflixt!, which was printed in various newspapers and later in [Verflixt #[nn] (2005)](app://issue/1551783). Since mid-2006, his website has been home to the web comic book [Heldentage #[nn] (2007)](app://issue/929592), in which Flix recorded small episodes from his life. A series about personal experience with the German division appeared in the Berliner Tagesspiegel – in August 2009 the collection was published as [Da war mal was... #[nn] (2009)](app://issue/1553943). Also in 2009, Faust, a reinterpretation of the drama of the same name by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, appeared in the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung over a period of five months. It was later published as a book [Faust #[nn] (2010)](app://issue/1206773). A second adaptation of a classical work for the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung was Don Quijote in 2012, also as [Don Quijote #[nn] (2012)](app://issue/1553932). The series Schöne Töchter was published in the Berlin daily newspaper Der Tagesspiegel from 2010 to October 2015. The series deals in quiet irony with the “panorama of a modern love life” between man and woman, collected as [Schöne Töchter #[nn] (2015)](app://issue/1552064). Since October 2015, Flix has been writing and drawing the comic strip Glückskind, which appears every Monday in the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, with three collections so far [Glückskind](app://series/118873). The first Spirou volume by a German artist was his [Spirou in Berlin #[nn] ([Juli] 2018)](app://issue/1830337), followed by [Marsupilami - Das Humboldt-Tier #[nn] (2022)](app://issue/2421971). In 2025 he published the Superman story Man of Kruppstahl. In July 2025, Flix published a youth novel called Immerland.
