Stefano Olivares debutta nel 1991 con *Profondo rosso* e *Full Moon Project* (**Edizioni Eden**). Dopo alcune collaborazioni con **Intrepido** entra nello staff di *Lazarus Ledd* (**Star Comics**), di cui diventa copertinista ufficiale. Successivamente lavora su *Hammer*, *Legs Weaver* e, dal 1996, su *Nathan Never*, realizzando numerosi albi e copertine per la **Sergio Bonelli Editore**. È autore anche di tutte le 64 copertine della prima serie di *Jonathan Steele* (1999–2004). Nel 2003 collabora con **Disney** per *Kylion* e nel 2005 riceve il Premio Ayaaaak per la miglior storia disegnata (Dopo l’Apocalisse). Co-fondatore del **VOC Studio** con Stefano Vietti e Marco Checchetto, partecipa al progetto Spider-Man per Il Giornalino (2006), supervisionato da Marvel Comics. He also illustrated all 64 covers of the first *Jonathan Steele* series (1999–2004). In 2003 he collaborated with **Disney** on *Kylion*, and in 2005 he received the Ayaaaak Award for Best Drawn Story (After the Apocalypse).
