Fil is a German comic artist, writer, and entertainer. At the age of fourteen, he published his first comics and drawings in the Berlin city magazine *zitty*. Later his comic strips appeared regularly in zitty and Jungle World. Fil's best-known comics are about the two proletarians Dieter Kolenda and Andreas Stullkowski from the Märkisches Viertel neighborhood, which appeared biweekly in zitty from 1997 to 2015 as one-page strips in authentic Berlin dialect under the title Didi & Stulle. Since the end of the 2010s, he has mainly been working as a stand-up comedian and has also written several fiction books.
