Carl Memling

Carl Memling was a children's author who wrote for comic books primarily before his children's book career took off. He wrote for Magazine Enterprises, from circa 1950 to circa 1957; Fawcett in 1953; Charlton, from about 1953 to about 1955; Toby Press circa 1952; Marvel, from circa 1954 to 1955; Health Publications and Major Magazines in 1958; and Dell from 1963 to 1966. Much of his work is unknown and uncredited. At the time of his death, Memling was the chairman of the publications division of the Bank Street College of Education.
