Lights Poxleitner-Bokan is a Canadian musician, singer, and songwriter. She moved to Toronto at the age of 18 when she legally changed her name to Lights. She is known for her gold-certified albums The Listening and Siberia as well as singles "Drive My Soul", "February Air", "Ice", "Second Go", "Toes", and "Up We Go". She released her fourth studio album, Skin & Earth, in 2017. Accompanying this album she created the six issue Skin & Earth comic series published by Dynamite Entertainment. Lights has been a lifelong fan of comics including current favorites like Saga, Pretty Deadly, Bitch Planet, and The Wicked + The Divine which all star or are created by other strong women. Comics have even influenced her music all the way back to her first record, The Listening, with her character Captain Lights.
