Franz von Pocci

Franz Graf von Pocci was a German dramatist, poet, painter, and composer. He was a co-founder of the Munich Marionette Theatre in 1858. The theatre credited him as the inventor of the Punch and Judy Show. Pocci contributed many illustrations for collections of European fairy tales by Charles Perrault, the Brothers Grimm, and Hans Christian Andersen.
