Stephan Louwes

Stephan Louwes studied Applied Visual Arts at the Wijnpers in Leuven, and Graphic Design & Illustration at LUCA School of Arts in Brussels. In 2019, he made his debut at Oogachtend with his masterproject, the wordless 'LIMBO: Lux in Tenebris', the first part of a graphic novel trilogy. 'Vox Aquarum' followed in 2021. In 2023, the closing book 'Legatum' was published. In the same year, Stephan made his debut again at MENLU with the cyberpunk comic series 'MOON', a long-term project in collaboration with writer and youth author Johan Vandevelde. Stephan works full-time in a Carrefour Market. He also makes illustrations under his alias Slartz.
