Peter Kay

Born in a German-speaking part of what is now the Czech Republic, Kay started working as an artist alongside his brother Eric. To further his career, he moved to Prague in the thirties and worked on film posters. He fled to the United Kingdom in the late thirties to escape persecution by the Nazis. In Britain, he moved into comics and worked on many titles, most notably the girl comics of the fifties and sixties. He was naturalized in 1947 and spent the rest of his life in England, passing in the early 1980s.

Comics
