Psychopharmacologist and an expert on mind altering substances. Was research professor with the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at UCLA. A leading voice explaining the futility of the drug war as well as the deeply embedded nature of mood altering substance usage not only in human nature but in the animal kingdom. As a footnote, he collaborated with Dave Sheridan on a few stories and was the model for the character Dr. McDope.
