Matt Softley

Matt Softley, whose real name was Maureen Softley, was an editor for Marvel UK division in the mid 1970s, working on titles such as Dracula Lives, Mighty World of Marvel and the British version of Savage Sword of Conan. Maureen was credited using her son's name as it was felt that a female name wasn't appropriate for the editor of boy's comics.
