Petra Skingley (credited under the male pseudonym Peter L. Skingley) was an editor at Marvel UK from 1973 to 1974, replacing Pippa Melling. She in turn was replaced by Maureen Softley who used her son's name Matt as her male alias. The use of male names for female editors was common at the time as it was believed that only men should be seen to edit boy's comics.
