Frank Jupo

Born in Germany, when the Nazis came to power he moved to first Prague and then London and Glasgow in 1939 and moved to the United States in 1946. In Britain, he published his first illustrated children's books, but found no publisher for them in the United States. He then worked for Dell on several of their children's comics. In 1953, he was able to start publishing his own books again. He lived for many years in Forest Hills, New York.
