Gerald Sussman

Gerald Sussman was a humorist and advertising copywriter who was editor-in-chief of National Lampoon, beginning in 1973. From 1973 to 1984, he was a member of the editorial board at The National Lampoon, becoming editor in chief of the magazine in 1983. During that time Mr. Sussman was also a co-author of scripts for two Lampoon feature films. He wrote seven humor books, including ''The Not Quite TV Guide'' (Crown, 1983), a parody of TV Guide, and ''The Official Sex Manual'' (G.P. Putnam, 1965), a parody of sexual terms and problems.
