Bill Hill

Bill began work not in comics but as a bricklayer, a trade he pursued for some twenty years. He contributed cartoons and one line strips to D. C. Thomson's women's papers to supplement his bricklaying income. He became a full-time contributor for comics in the early 1960s. For The Beezer, a long-running British comic book published by D. C. Thomson & Co, he drew: The Banana Bunch, Tommy Taylor's Toybox, Black Bun, Roly Poly Joe, Pedro the Pesky Parrot, Wrinkle and Twinkle and The Mob Next Door. For Sparky he drew: Nosey Parker and L Cars. He would often incorporate builders into his comic strips.
