Bert Grassick

His early working years were in factories, where he became hearing impaired in both ears. At age 20, he moved to Toronto and was hired first at Rabjohn Enterprises, then at Clement Saila & Co. as an illustrator. Primarily known for editorial cartoons in Canadian publications, including Maclean’s Magazine, Financial Post, Forum, and Toronto Telegram. During the 1950’s he was the most prolific cartoonist in Canada. He also worked briefly in television as the caricaturist for a CBC game show titled "Whozit".
