Jordi Bayarri

Jordi Bayarri is a Spanish comic book author born in Alboraia, Valencia, in 1972. After graduating with a degree in Fine Arts, he co-founded the self-publishing collective 7 Monos, where he launched his career with the series *Magia&Acero*, earning him a Readers' Award at the Barcelona International Comic Fair in 2002. His success continued with fantasy and historical works, including the series *Entre Tinieblas*, for which he won Best National Screenwriter in 2007, and the graphic novel *The Hidden City of Alexander the Great*, which received the “Drawing Between Cultures” award in 2010. Since 2012, Bayarri has shifted his focus to creating educational comics for young audiences. His most prominent project is the *Colección Científicos* (Scientists Collection), which profiles the lives of influential scientists. This highly successful series has been translated into eight languages, published internationally, and was recognized with the Antifaz Prize in 2020 for its outreach work. Continuing his dedication to educational content, he began publishing *The Fun Story of History*, a collection of history-based comics for children, in 2019.
