Larry Spivack wrote and drew the Fury of the Foreign Legion feature for Centaur, from 1938 to 1939. From 1943 to 1945, Spivack was stationed at Camp Gordon Johnston (Carrabelle, Florida) as public relations artist, doing cartoons for base publications and murals for camp buildings.
