Richard De Angelis

• Born 1962

Served as director of the Doris Day Animal Foundation's Comics for Compassion program from January 1999 to September 2006, during which time he worked with DC on [Superman for the Animals #1 (2000)](app://issue/63110) and Marvel on [X-Men Unlimited #44 (May 2003)](app://issue/201661). Also authored “Of Mice and Vermin: Animals as Absent Referent in Art Spiegelman’s Maus,” which was published in the International Journal of Comic Art (Vol. 7 No. 1, Spring 2005).
