Paul Gauguin

The famous Post-impressionist painter, woodcut artist, ceramicist and sculptor. Gauguin began as an impressionist and eventually influenced the Symbolist and Primitivist art movements. Some of his exploits, such as his time in Tahiti and relationship with van Gogh, are fabled in art history and popular culture.
