Synopsis

Max separates Emily from the others in her party, and maneuvers her into a fight to the death against other potential Stonekeepers. Emily prefers to make allies, and her friends on the outside try to win their way to her, joined by Vigo, who is also a Stonekeeper. At last Emily agrees to let Max take the prize he seeks... the Mother Stone from which the amulets are cut... in exchange for her family's lives. She and Vigo agree to work together, supported by all of their friends.
