Synopsis
In the mountains of New York state, Elmer is trying to escape after being set up on false embezzling charges and Gloria is trying to escape a cruel man. While hitchhiking, Gloria is attacked by the driver. She escapes to a cabin that Elmer had been using and when her attacker shows up, she finds the gun Elmer had left and kills him in self-defense. Panicked, with the cabin on fire, she stumbles through the woods until Elmer finds her. Elmer takes her to another cabin where they are snowed in. Meanwhile, the police think the carbonized body in the burned cabin is Elmer's.
