Synopsis

After being contested by a neighbor who had cared for her aunt, Susan is awarded her aunt's inheritance despite the fact that she hardly knew her. Before leaving to live at her aunt's house, she agrees to meet a work colleague she had once dated. While waiting in the park for him to arrive, a stranger shows up and announces he is going to kill her for taking the inheritance he expected. Gerard arrives and the two men fight until the stranger falls on his knife. Fearing a possible jail term, Susan and Gerard decide to go on the run instead of reporting the death to the police.
