Actually printed before the blue-shirt cover, this issue marked the transition from red to blue on the Lone Ranger's shirts, likely to align with the TV show's coloring scheme. In the interior stories for this variant, the Lone Ranger's shirt is also colored red.
The on-sale date comes from a stamped arrival date from a known copy of this variant.
